Laboratory Ī¤eaching Personnel, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece

Dr. Fotios Barmpas holds a Laboratory Research and Teaching Personnel position at the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece. He holds a B. Eng. (Hons) degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Fluid Mechanics from the same University. He obtained his PhD from the Mechanical Engineering Department of AUTh on the development and utilization of numerical models for environmental fluid mechanics analysis with special focus on urban areas. He has been involved in many EU and Nationally funded projects dealing with the dispersion of air pollution in urban areas and the assessment of technical measures for the improvement of air quality as well as the analysis of the impacts of environmental flows on the building sector and the quality of the urban environment in general.
