Miltiadou M.

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, SUMPORT & ADRIPASS projects

Born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1975. He has a Diploma in Rural and Surveying Engineer from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.TH., 1999), MSc in Planning and Management of Local and Regional Development (A.U.TH., 2001) and PhD in Transportation Engineering (A.U.TH., 2012). He works since year 2000 as a freelancer engineer/ consultant and researcher – teaching assistant at the Department of Transportation and Hydraulics Engineering of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of A.U.TH. Currently, he is Project Manager of SUMPORT (Interreg MED) and ADRIPASS (Interreg ADRION) projects on behalf of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He has participated in more than 65 local, regional, national and international (including EU-funded) projects and as a freelancer he provides independent engineering/ consulting services to national and international state-owned or private companies, bodies and organizations in several countries, regarding: transportation systems (including ITS), road safety, transportation planning, feasibility and cost – benefit analysis for major transport projects, traffic studies, sustainable mobility plans, etc.

He is member of the Greek and Cypriot Technical Chambers and of the Greek Institute of Transportation Engineers and other professional associations and he has more than 35 scientific papers published in international journals, books and conference proceedings and 15 invited key-lectures and speeches.
