Zacharias Gkouskos is a Research Associate, in the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Laboratory - Technical University of Crete since 2007 and has been involved in more than 10 EU projects (SOLCO, PURE, PVTRIN, PROMOTION 3E, PV PARITY, BUS GR: BUILD UP Skills, RERINA, NeCoE-PCM, CIVITAS-DESTINATION, COMPOSE, MUSEUMS II) as well as in a great number of national RES & EE projects. He has also worked as project manager in several other EU-funded projects, (TransPOT, aDDRess, TheraCAN) for the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas and the University of Crete.
Both his bachelor diploma (Environmental Engineering) as well as his MSc are oriented to the restoration, protection and management of the environment and has over 15 years of professional experience in environmental projects as he has worked as a special advisor for the Directorate of Environment and Spatial Planning Department of Environment & Hydro-economics/Region of Crete and as a lab teacher, in courses relevant to Climate Change & Environmental Pollution, Renewable Energy Systems and Sustainable Development for the Environmental Engineer School.
He is a certified evaluator of the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology and has also worked as an external evaluator for REA (HORIZON 2020 / Call 2016-2017: FET-OPEN etc.).
Zacharias is the author of 20+ scientific publications in international scientific peer reviewed journals, book chapters and publications in conferences.
